Job Description: 

  • Sheet Metal Fabrication: Measure, mark, and cut sheet metal using specialized tools and equipment such as power shears, saws, and press brakes. Shape and form metal by bending, rolling, and shaping techniques.
  • Welding and Soldering: Perform welding and soldering tasks to join metal components together. This includes using various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and spot welding, as well as soldering for electrical connections.
  • Assembly and Installation: Assemble fabricated parts and install them into larger structures or machinery. This may involve the use of fasteners, adhesives, or welding techniques to secure the components in place.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the required dimensions, materials, and procedures for the sheet metal fabrication process.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and conformance to specifications. Make necessary adjustments or repairs to ensure compliance with design requirements.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and clean tools, equipment, and work area to ensure proper functioning and safety. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor.
