Further more, you must demonstrate a level of financial need that would otherwise prevent you from pursuing a degree at UBC.

Concordia is seeking nominations from school principals, teachers, or guidance counsellors, who know of exceptional students who plan to attend our school. The award covers all tuition and fees, books, residence, and meal plan fees.

There are up to two Presidential Scholarships available each year for incoming students in any full-time undergraduate degree program.

Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS)

This scholarship is designated for  students enrolled in graduate studies at  the  nineteen publicly funded Ontario universities. These universities are listed below:

International students who are currently studying or planning  to study a full-time graduate program (master’s or doctoral level) at one of the 19 participating universities in Ontario under a valid temporary resident visa (student study permit) are eligible for OGS awards. Currently registered international graduate students who have not yet been able to obtain a study permit due to COVID-19 circumstances are also temporarily eligible to apply. Applications are assessed on merit and must meet the criteria set by the participating schools. It offers $5,000 CAD per term. Thus, awardees may receive $10,000 CAD for two consecutive terms or $15,000 CAD for three consecutive terms.

The University of Winnipeg President’s Scholarship for World Leaders

This scholarship is for  international students entering any of the University’s divisions for the first time.  Applicants must have a minimum 80% admission average or equivalent and must show interest in leadership. The University of Winnipeg President’s Scholarships for World Leaders for Graduate Students are valued at $5,000. To be eligible for this scholarship, you must have a minimum 80% admission average or equivalent and must be  an international student entering the first year of any program since the scholarship is specifically designed for international students. Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships

The University of Saskatchewan is one of the Canadian universities where international students have access to the Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships. This scholarship was initiated by the Canadian government in a bid to attract international scholars.

The  scholarship amount for graduate international students is $50,000 per year, and will be received by the beneficiaries  for three consecutive  years. These areas are: Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Technologies (AMM) in and of themselves or which additionally support the innovation priority areas of Environment, Energy, Agriculture, Manufacturing, and Health. To be eligible for this scholarship,  applicants must be pursuing full-time studies at either; University of Alberta, University of Calgary, University of Lethbridge.

Each beneficiary of this scholarship will receive $26,000 per year for Mater’s student and $31,000 per year for Doctoral studies. This scholarship is open to Canadian citizens, or Permanent Residents/international students living in Alberta and must be pursuing full-time studies at University of Alberta, University of Calgary, University of Lethbridge.

Ondaatje Scholarship

DU offers a range of merit scholarships for our international masters students. The scholarship value is 1,500 per year. It is designed for families with two or more dependent children simultaneously attending FDU. Students enrolled in Wroxton College, summer sessions, inter-sessions and mini-sessions are not eligible for these scholarships. The scholarship is renewable for up to two years for graduate students and beneficiaries can still qualify for merit-based scholarships.

Karl Ivarson Scholarship for students in Soil Science

Dr. Karl C. Ivarson Scholarship financially supports students entering second or subsequent year of graduate studies in soil science (agriculture, agro-ecology, resource management, environment, geology or other related disciplines). Applicants must hold Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Residence status in Canada and be enrolled in their graduate program for at least one semester beyond the closing date.
