1. Georgia Tuition Equalization Grant Program

Awardees are eligible to receive payment for a maximum of four quarters or three semesters during the calendar year. Recipients get an award of $300 per quarter or $450 per semester. (The Georgia General Assembly is responsible for preparing the annual budget. During the award year, the prize’s monetary value may be adjusted.)
2. Georgia Mining Foundation Scholarship Program
Georgia Mining Foundation was founded with a $40,000 scholarship fund to be awarded as individual $500 scholarships to help deserving students in Georgia pay for college. 3. Ty Cobb Educational Foundation
This scholarship was created by Tyrus R. Cobb. To help qualified and worthy Georgians who lack the means to pursue higher education yet show promise. Qualified students can receive funding from the foundation to help cover the full cost of tuition, fees, and living expenses at an approved higher education institution.
A regional accrediting authority approved by the Council for Higher Education is required for admission to the college or university. While recipients of scholarships have no legal responsibility to the Ty Cobb Educational Foundation, they (and others) are encouraged to make donations to the organization if and when they are able. 4. Watson Brown Foundation Scholarship
The next best scholarships in Georgia was founded by Walter J. Brown. He believed that a college education provided the best avenue towards success and fulfilment and in 1970, he established a private Foundation to support that belief. Twice yearly, in July and January, scholarship money of $3,000 will be sent directly to the college or university of the recipient’s choice. 7. GSFC – Hope Scholarship
The Georgia Student Finance Commission’s (GSFC) primary objective is to broaden the opportunities available to Georgians for furthering their education after high school graduation. The scholarship, that is mentioned below are some of the ways that GSFC makes it possible for students to pursue postsecondary education.
The HOPE Scholarships in Georgia is a type of scholarship that is given out based on merit and is available to residents of Georgia who have excelled in their studies. To continue to be eligible for the HOPE Scholarship, a recipient must first graduate from high school with a grade point average of at least 3.00 (as computed by GSFC) and then maintain a grade point average of at least 3.00 throughout their postsecondary education.
Students who are enrolled in an undergraduate program at a college or university in Georgia that meets the eligibility requirements for the HOPE Scholarship are eligible to receive financial assistance with their tuition costs. Students who initially received the HOPE Scholarship during the 2011-2012 academic year (FY12) or later are subject to a seven-year time limit on their eligibility to receive the award. After completing 127 semesters or 190 quarter hours, a student is no longer qualified to receive HOPE Scholarship monies and is no longer eligible for the scholarship.
8. GSFC – Zell Miller Scholarship
The Zell Miller Scholarship is one of the most popular scholarships in Georgia. It is a merit-based scholarship made available to Georgia residents. Although it is comparable to the HOPE Scholarship, the Zell Miller Scholarship has stricter academic standards.
A Zell Miller Scholarship recipient must graduate from high school with a minimum grade point average of 3.70 (as calculated by GSFC), combined with a minimum SAT score of 1200 on the math and reading portions or a minimum composite ACT score of 26 in a single national test administration, and the recipient must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.30 in postsecondary education to remain eligible.
These requirements must be met to receive the scholarship. Students who qualify for the Zell Miller Scholarship will have their tuition assistance increased while they are attending a college or university in Georgia that meets the requirements for receiving the Zell Miller Scholarship.
Students who initially received the Zell Miller Scholarship during the 2011-2012 academic year (FY12) or later are subject to a seven-year limit on their eligibility for the award. Once a student has reached the maximum number of semester or quarter hours required to qualify for the Zell Miller Scholarship, the student will no longer be eligible for the money offered under the scholarship.
9. CAS Trust Scholarship Program
CAS Trust scholarship program is also one of the top scholarships in Georgia. The purpose of the scholarship is to pique the interest of students in the field of property and casualty actuarial work and encourage them to pursue the CAS (Casualty Actuarial Society)credentials to increase their employment opportunities.
